But something is clearly off—and no one has fully explained it to you yet.
If you’ve been dealing with:
irregular or missing periods
stubborn weight that doesn’t respond to effort
acne, hair changes, or fatigue
confusion around hormones and ovulation
or the feeling that your body is “stuck”
You’re not imagining it.
And you’re not alone.
For many women, this is the first time anyone is actually connecting the dots.

The hardest part isn’t the symptoms.
It’s not knowing what’s actually causing them.
Most women are told:
“just lose weight”
“your labs are normal”
“come back when you want to get pregnant”
“take birth control and it will regulate things”
But very few are ever given a clear explanation of what is actually happening inside their body. So they’re left guessing, researching, and trying random fixes—without a real starting point.
You may notice the term PMOS (formerly known as PCOS) used in this guide.
This reflects an evolving understanding of the condition. While PCOS has traditionally been used, PMOS is being introduced to better describe the full picture of what’s happening in the body—including hormonal, metabolic, and ovulatory systems—not just the ovaries.
I primarily use “PCOS” for familiarity, while introducing “PMOS” to reflect this updated clinical perspective.
Both terms refer to the same underlying condition.

PCOS is not just a hormone issue.
It is a connected pattern involving:
insulin and blood sugar regulation
ovulation signaling
inflammation
stress response systems
androgen hormone activity
Which is why symptoms can feel so unpredictable—and why one-size-fits-all advice rarely works.
Once you understand the system, the symptoms stop feeling random.
They start making sense.

As a naturopathic doctor working in women’s health—and someone who has personally experienced PCOS—I know this condition from both sides.
I’ve also gone through periods of:
feeling confused by my own symptoms
being told things were “normal” when they didn’t feel normal
trying to make sense of conflicting information
and wondering why my body felt out of sync
And as a doctor, I’ve heard the same stories repeated countless times from patients.
That combination changed how I approach care.
Because I don’t just see PCOS as a diagnosis—I see it as a pattern that needs to be understood clearly, not managed blindly.
They need clarity on where to start.
Because right now, you may be:
-trying multiple supplements
-following different advice online
-unsure what actually matters first
-and still not seeing consistent change
The missing piece isn’t effort.
It’s a starting point that actually makes sense.
Not overwhelming.
Not complicated.
Just a clear place to begin.
